HOW TO USE THIS TEMPLATE:

This page is divided into two databases:

1. for keeping track of your written words of the day, and charts regarding writing consistency
2. for having a board with all your current works, wips and prompts, divided between their completion statuses (outlining, writing, needs update or completed) (you can add a beta/reviewing step, I just didn't add it bc betaing is not for me. we die like men.)

🦩 Tracking Your Writing Sessions

<aside> 💡 This part is a simple tracking database. If you open the toggle option, you shall see all sprints you've done. Since the spreadsheet is kinda long, I would rather have it hidden, thus I made it a toggle. You can edit if you want, as long as the database remains untouched.

• To input your latest writing progress, click the button and add:
  1. your starting word count
  2. your ending word count
  3. which work this sprinting progress is from (PS. you MUST create the work page in the Works Database before assigning your word count to it. the sprinting database only selects existing works. you can either add your work in the following session button, or simply by going to )
  4. the sprinting tag, if you'd like to divide your writing between different sessions.

<aside> 💡 You can add as much data for a single day as you'd like. Your morning, afternoon and evening sessions will collectively sum up for the daily total.

• You can also add or edit your daily progress in this table. Don't mind if it's too messy— the charts will analyze it for you. Remember to close the toggle for no visual pollution.

🪐 My Works Database

<aside> 💡 I use the following “system” simply for dividing fic completion statuses in the below database. Feel free to adapt it if you need to (i.e. adding a beta/reviewing step, or whatever else you'd like).

• To add a new project, click the button and add:
  1. Fic Name
  2. Status
  3. Platform (ao3, social media au, etc)
  4. Moodboard (simply attach the moodboard file)
  5. Words Goal for the fic

Here i can keep track of all my projects, including past fics, wips, simple prompts and other stuff. If you have a new project you'd like to add to your dashboard, simply click on the following button. You can edit whichever work you're adding through the many database views below, though I'd recommend you do it via table views.

• Don't worry about the other properties, as they will automatically update. Your **current word count ****will update as soon as you add a new writing session at the first table . Your current progress will update automatically through the table dividing your current word count relative to your goal. You can always update the goal if you think the fic will be longer or shorter than at first glance.

<aside> 💡 Remember to always add your daily progress at (the 1st button), as the board will automatically calculate your progress and help you keep in track with your works.

Once you add a new fic, it should appear at the column of its respective status. Personally, I like the board view focusing on moodboards because it makes me stare at my wips and it helps with feeling productive. If you would rather looking at your fics in a table view instead, feel free to use views 2 or 3. I added a chart on view 4, but you can always customize it as you'd like.
